October 14 - Enough? Enough!

Time for another Antigone picture, with Terrance and Lisa, with more info un the upcoming shows, including pictures, @ markalburgerevents.blogspot.com and goathall.org.

A third page of Moses and Aaron: V. What Is in your Hand? orchestrated, with the aid of Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 4: I, and whole-tone scales postd on the Music History blog under Claude Debussy (markalburgermusichistory.blogspog.com).

No dictation in Theory today (rather unusual). Instead, show brief older video of Ballad of Mac the Knife from Kurt Weill's The Threepenny Opera, examine scores of Claude Debussy (selected Preludes) and Igor Stravinsky (Petrushka: Chez Petrushka). and play fine compositions by Andrew Flesher and Ken Wilcox.

After, meet with Luis, Daniel (for notation assistance in a minimalist/modal), and John (re his ongoing works).

Lunch at China Garden -- miss their lunch specials, so go for pot stickers. Which brings to mind Waiting for Godot.

VLADIMIR:

This is becoming really insignificant.

ESTRAGON:

Not enough.

Silence.

Returning to the lab, record all of M&A: V and beginning of VI.

Evening class covers music from Guiseppe Verdi to Giacomo Puccini (the all-opera perception is sheer coincidence)....

Then finally all three of us -- Doug Michael, Owen Lee, Mark Alburger -- meet at Left Bank (first time we are all there at once, for some time), followed by homand another page of M&A: V and beginning of VI.
