October 27 - Signs in the Sky

Another couple of pages orchestrated for Moses and Aaron: XIV. Postlude - "Be Gone" before heading off to DVC to give the Jester Hairston Elijah Rock dictation, go over two basic rules of voice-leading, and play (and have played) fine compositions by Sheyda, Danny, and John.

Record M&A: 11, 13, and the beginning of 14 -- then head home under radiant semi-desert skies to finish instrumentalizing Postlude and do related for XV. Anthem - "Bless You."

September 20 - From Sky to Sky to Sky

Off to Sky's house in Berkeley for an Ophelia Forever rehearsal, under lowering stratus,

clearing enough to allow a walk thereafter in the East Bay Municipal Water Districts lands from the Briones Trailhead to the EBMUD Office (conveniently closed on the weekends),

looping back on San Pablo Road, with views of the lower east slopes of the Berkeley Hills,

then home, towards Mt. Diablo,

past Poverty Hills,

Lagoon Valley,

and the North Lagoon Mountains, for more orchestration of Abraham and Isaac: XI. The Sacrifice (with an angelic voice in the heavens) -- to page 54.

July 3 - Beyond Beethoven Blitz

After Beethoven bonanza (what some won't do to sell recordings...), blitz home via

bounteous back roads: Suisun Valley's Twin Sisters(....hm....could be Sister's Twins...);

Fairfield's Vineyard,

Three Oak, and

Paradise Hills (the latter from the North Texas offramp,

and the I-80 frontage road -- in standard and

telephoto views);

just beyond, past Poverty Hills (once again, two views,

the second with cows [the plural almost hidden behind an almost imperceptible intermediate ridge])

and the North Lagoon Mountains

on the fire divide ---

feverishly finishing up the Classical blog articles at markalburgermusichistory.blogspot.com beyond Beethoven, and now preparing for publication Mice and Men, Act V, Scene 2 D (page 1).
